The leather cover for field battles. From the color of leather, I seem the object for marine corps.

規定通りの丸紐猿手。柄糸は海軍刀に多い平巻き。巻き留めが一風変わっていて、柄の棟で留めてある
金具は「瀬戸鍍金」の状態がよく保持されている
The round string knot loop as regulation. Tsuka-itoes are many common bindings to a naval sword. The binding end of a Tsuka-ito is irregular. A Tsuka-ito stops at the back-edge-Mune side of a hilt.

ハバキ側小切羽の表面左下部に、豊川海軍工廠の検査刻印(桜に錨のマーク)
To the surface lower left part of the blade-collar side smallness washers, it is Toyokawa Naval Arsenal's inspection stamp (it is a mark of an anchor to a cherry tree).

a metal parts into glossy gold.




本外装はかなり使い込まれているが、縁(柄袖)、口金、佩鐶金具に、昔日の瀬戸鍍金の特色をかなり残存させている
